According to the Centers for Disease Control, a third wave of the H1N1 virus could be coming.

This is National Influenza Vaccination week and health officials are asking those that have put off getting the vaccine to reconsider. Only one in five Ohio residents who are considered high risk received the vaccine.

Four million doses have been provided statewide, but less than one million have been used. Local health officials said it's not too late to protect yourself.

“It’s not over, nor is the risk for pandemic H1N1 influenza,” Mahoning County Health Commissioner Matthew Stefanak said. “If this virus follows the pattern of past pandemic flu viruses, we will see another wave come to Youngstown, perhaps as early as late this month.”

Stefank said the prime flu months are January through March and now is the time take advantage of the clinics being held throughout the Valley.
